NVS Application Errors: Formatting the 350x450 Photograph
The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) conducts highly competitive recruitment drives for Teaching (PGT, TGT) and Non-Teaching staff. 1. The 350x450 Photograph Geometry
The NVS portal does not accept standard square or small passport photos. Your image must be tall and precisely formatted to 350 pixels wide by 450 pixels high. The file size must be kept between 10 KB and 100 KB.
- Framing Rules: Your head should be centered, taking up the majority of the frame, with both shoulders visible at the bottom. Do not submit a close-up selfie, as the lens distortion will cause your facial proportions to fail the AI check.
- Background and Lighting: Use a plain white or very light-colored background. Ensure the lighting is bright and even to avoid shadows casting across half of your face.
2. The 10-30 KB Signature Limit
The signature upload is where applicants frequently trigger portal errors. The required geometric dimensions are 140 pixels wide by 60 pixels high, but the file size limit is capped between 10 KB and 30 KB.
To hit this specific file limit without turning your signature into an illegible blur, you must sign on a completely blank, unlined white sheet of paper using a bold black pen.
